What do you do when you hit the big five-oh and the last of your chicks has flown the coop? If you’re Lori Volk, you move to a sailboat, start a new business and become an ironman/woman even though you don’t know how to swim.
Always up for a challenge, Lori hired a coach, learned to swim, did a triathlon or two for practice then entered the Arizona ironman competition. She wanted to know how it felt to push herself to the limit and cross that finish line. It felt empowering. So, when her new business was up and running, her title became “Chief Believer, CEO.”
The idea for Lori’s Original Lemonade grew from the lemonade stand she and her kids once ran, using lemons from their own little backyard tree.
Her lemonade is now being sold in over 400 locations in Southern California, including local markets in Ojai, and in four other states as well, through Whole Foods.
You might notice her on the road as she delivers her goods in her cute little lemon chariot.
Using real lemon juice, real sugar, ginger root extract and lavender flowers, no additives or preservatives, everything about Lori’s lemonade is organic, as nature intended.
There’s her Ojai Lavender lemonade, so refreshing and delicious…
… and her ginger lemonade with a spicy kick.
As you sail through the Taste of Ojai, stop by Lori’s lemonade stand for some of her original lemonade with a taste twist.
